This lesson is all about applets. Applets are an effective way of making a web site more attractive. Too large of an applet
or too many can make a page very slow loading. This would discourage one from waiting for a page to load.
For my snow applet, I chose this picture taken of our 1-24-05 blizzard. Actually, we got over 3 feet of snow by the time it was done,. We really were buried in it. The wind was close to hurricane strength. The drifting was unbelievable. We couldn't even see our street. In the morning, there was no way we could get out of our back door since there was about a six foot snow drift against the door. It took about three days before the street was plowed.
The lake applet is from a picture taken of our area last month.
